Copyright & License

The International Informatics Express Journal (IIEJ) is committed to ensuring that authors maintain full control over their intellectual property while providing the global community with unrestricted access to scientific knowledge.

Authors who publish their manuscripts with IIEJ retain full copyright to their work without any restrictions. Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors grant the journal the right of first publication. This allows IIEJ to formally publish, format, and globally disseminate the work while acknowledging the authors as the sole copyright holders.

Because authors retain the copyright, they are fully permitted to:

  • Reuse their own work in future publications (such as books, theses, or lecture notes).
  • Self-archive the published version of the article on personal websites, institutional repositories, or academic networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Google Scholar) immediately upon publication.
  • Enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work, provided that the initial publication in IIEJ is properly acknowledged.

2. Licensing

To support the broad dissemination of research, all articles published in this journal are licensed and distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Under this open-access license, the public (readers and other researchers) is granted the right to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

However, these rights are granted under the following mandatory conditions:

  • Attribution (BY): Users must give appropriate credit to the original authors and the journal, provide a link to the license, and indicate if any changes were made. This attribution must be done in a reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the authors or IIEJ endorses the user or their use of the work.
  • ShareAlike (SA): If users remix, transform, or build upon the original material, they must distribute their new contributions under the exact same license (CC BY-SA 4.0) as the original work.

By submitting a manuscript to IIEJ, authors agree to have their work published under these copyright and licensing terms, ensuring that their research remains open, accessible, and legally protected from restrictive commercial paywalls.
