Deposit Policy

The International Informatics Express Journal (IIEJ) strongly supports the rapid, broad, and open dissemination of scientific research. Because our authors retain full copyright to their work under an Open Access framework, IIEJ maintains a highly permissive deposit and self-archiving policy.

We encourage authors to share, deposit, and archive their research in institutional repositories, subject-based repositories, and academic networks without any embargo period.

Authors are permitted to deposit the following versions of their manuscript:

1. Submitted Version (Preprint)

  • Policy: Authors are allowed to deposit the initial, un-reviewed version of their manuscript (preprint) on personal websites, institutional repositories, or dedicated preprint servers (e.g., arXiv, TechRxiv, SSRN) at any time before or during the submission process.
  • Condition: If the manuscript is subsequently accepted and published in IIEJ, we request that the authors update the preprint record with the permanent citation details and a link (DOI) to the final published article.

2. Accepted Version (Author Accepted Manuscript / Postprint)

  • Policy: Authors may deposit the peer-reviewed and officially accepted version of their manuscript (before the final publisher typesetting and layout) in any repository immediately upon receiving the acceptance notification.
  • Condition: Authors should include a statement in the repository record acknowledging that the article has been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication in the International Informatics Express Journal.

3. Published Version (Version of Record)

  • Policy: Authors are strongly encouraged to deposit the final published PDF (the Version of Record formatted by the journal) in institutional repositories, national repositories, or academic social networks (such as ResearchGate, Academia.edu, or Google Scholar) immediately upon online publication.
  • Condition: When depositing or sharing the final published version, authors must include the proper citation details and a direct link to the article's persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) on the IIEJ website. The deposited work must remain publicly available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Zero Embargo Policy IIEJ enforces a strict zero-embargo policy. This means authors do not have to wait for any specified period of time after publication to deposit or share their work publicly. All versions of the manuscript can be archived immediately as outlined above.
