Correction and Retraction

The Indonesian Journal of Management and Organizational Innovation (IJMOI) is firmly committed to maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the scholarly record. We recognize that despite our rigorous double-blind peer review and editorial processes, honest errors may occasionally occur, or post-publication ethical issues may arise.

In handling corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern, IJMOI strictly follows the best practice guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Corrections (Erratum / Corrigendum) A formal correction will be issued if an honest error is discovered in a published article that affects its scientific accuracy, metadata, or the reputation of the authors, but does not invalidate the core findings or conclusions of the paper.

  • Erratum: Issued for significant errors introduced by the journal's editorial staff or publisher during the production and typesetting process.
  • Corrigendum: Issued for errors made by the authors (e.g., misidentified affiliations, minor statistical calculation errors, or omitted funding details).
  • Process: The correction will be published as a separate notice that permanently links to the original article. The original article will remain online but will be updated with a hyperlink indicating that a correction has been published.

2. Retractions Retraction is a severe mechanism reserved for articles that contain fundamental flaws or evidence of scientific misconduct, rendering the findings and conclusions entirely unreliable. An article may be formally retracted if there is clear evidence that:

  • The findings are unreliable due to major errors (e.g., fatal miscalculation) or data fabrication/falsification.
  • The article constitutes plagiarism or relies on the unauthorized use of third-party data.
  • The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing or justification (redundant/double publication).
  • The research violates ethical or legal regulations.
  • Process: A formal "Retraction Notice" will be published, clearly explaining who requested the retraction and the reasons for it. To preserve the historical integrity of the academic record, the original article's PDF will not be deleted; however, it will remain accessible but prominently watermarked with the word "RETRACTED" across all pages.

3. Editorial Expressions of Concern If the Editorial Board receives serious allegations of academic misconduct but an investigation is ongoing, inconclusive, or requires significant time to resolve, the Editor-in-Chief may issue an "Expression of Concern." This serves to transparently alert readers that the integrity of the article is currently under formal review.

Reporting Concerns If any reader, author, or reviewer discovers a significant error or suspects ethical misconduct in any article published by IJMOI, they are strongly encouraged to contact the Editor-in-Chief immediately. All reports will be handled confidentially, taken seriously, and investigated thoroughly in strict accordance with COPE flowcharts.
