Double Blind Review

The Indonesian Journal of Management and Organizational Innovation (IJMOI) is strongly committed to ensuring the highest standards of objective and unbiased academic evaluation. To achieve this, we employ a strict Double-Blind Peer Review process for all submitted manuscripts.

What is Double-Blind Peer Review? In a double-blind peer review process, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept strictly confidential and concealed from each other.

  • The Reviewers do not know the names, affiliations, or any identifying details of the authors whose work they are evaluating.
  • The Authors do not know who reviewed their manuscript.

This method minimizes implicit biases based on the author's gender, nationality, academic status, or institutional affiliation. It ensures that the manuscript is judged solely on its scientific merit, originality, methodology, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Author Instructions for Anonymization To ensure the integrity of the double-blind review process, authors must take the following steps to anonymize their document before submitting it to the OJS system:

  1. Remove Identifying Information from the Main Manuscript:

    • Do not include author names, emails, or institutional affiliations in the main manuscript file (e.g., .doc or .docx).
    • Ensure that any identifying information is removed from the file properties. (In Microsoft Word, go to File > Info > Check for Issues > Inspect Document, and remove Document Properties and Personal Information).
  2. Submit a Separate Title Page:

    • Please submit a separate "Title Page" document (as a supplementary file) that contains the manuscript title, full names of all authors, their complete affiliations, the corresponding author's email address, and any acknowledgments or funding information.
  3. Anonymize Self-Citations:

    • If you are citing your own previous work, avoid using phrases that reveal your identity. For example, instead of writing "In our previous study (Smith, 2023), we found...", you should write "Smith (2023) found...".
    • Do not include acknowledgments in the main manuscript text; these should only appear on the separate Title Page.

The Review Workflow

  1. Initial Desk Review: The Editorial Board conducts an initial screening to ensure the manuscript fits the journal's focus and scope, passes the similarity/plagiarism check, and meets the basic author guidelines.
  2. Review Assignment: If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is fully anonymized and sent to at least two independent expert reviewers in the related field.
  3. Final Decision: Based on the detailed feedback and recommendations provided by the reviewers, the Editor-in-Chief will make a final decision: Accept, Revise and Resubmit, or Reject.
